Room

When we moved into this house almost 6 years ago the previous owners had done some interesting things to the walls in the kids rooms. It was a bank owned home so we got what we paid for. By the way it looked they had run out of time to do what they wanted to do. We had new carpet put in when we moved in (it REALLY needed it). I finally was able to do the girls room these past few weeks. Their room was this purple color and lime green around the window. They also had green butterflies with little cut out wallpaper flowers in the middle of them. Also green vine things coming out of the plugs. It was ugly. So the girls for the time being covered everything up with posters or mirrors. But I finally got to paint it. We went with a Carolina/Baby blue and white. It took 4 coats of white paint with the primer in it to completely cover that purple. It just didn't want to go away. I was also able to clean the carpet in there as everything was taken out.

Why did I finally get to the girls room? Well Kaisey is coming home from College for the summer and needed a place to sleep. We need to get another bed and dresser in the room for her. Bailey has always wanted a loft bed so now seemed like a good time. Took everything out, painted, cleaned carpet, put the new bed in and the old bunk bed and now we have a room for my 3 girls. It is a tight fit but it will work just fine.
