Quick Update

Some of what we have been doing lately.
Bailey has been keeping busy with learning to play the piano. She was able to play before the performance for her middle school choir Christmas concert at a rest home. She is also keeping busy with Peer court, Archery, and a few other activities she does at school. She loves to be involved.
McKay has his 15th birthday in November. My little boy is growing up to be a wonderful young man. He is a joy to have in our family and I will always love the hugs he gives me. This past month he also was able to take drivers ed. Another child driving. I don't know how my mom and dad did it with 8 kids. He also has been able to march with his JROTC group in a couple of parades. This picture is from the Leland Christmas Parade. If anybody knows McKay getting a smile out of him is not an easy task, but I guess when your mom is standing on the side of the road with a Santa hat (the hat actually has Santa's face on it, It is really cute) on and trying to get you to smile you just have too.
Kaisey has also been keeping busy. She finished out the Marching band season and was very glad all the competitions were over. She was able to march in her first Parade with the band. She has never marched before as she was in the pit (playing the keyboard) in the band and never marched. So when it was time for the parade she was going to play the cymbals but when she got there there was some confusion on who was going to play them, and she ended up not doing it. They gave her an instrument that no one was playing and told her to pretend to be playing it. But the person who plays it showed up so they didn't do that. So about 30 minutes before the parade started the band director told her to conduct the back of the band while they played. So she had to march backward while they played and conducted them. She did a great job for 30 minutes notice and never having marched before. She did fall once (tripped on the shoe of the guy in front of her) but got up and kept going.
